We also welcome a new face in the choir room this year: Mr. Lonnie Tanner as assistant choral director. He is a graduate of Baylor University and comes to us with over 16 years experience in the public school system. Mr. Tanner has performed all over the world including Austria, Canada, Korea, Carnegie Hall and has even played for 5 U.S. presidents. In 2000, he conducted the New Mexico All-State Children's Chorus and, in 2005, he accompanied the Texas Al l-state Men's Chorus. Currently, he plays the organ and acts as a music assistant for Friendswood UMC. He also enjoys being a choreographer, clinician, adjudicator and composer/arranger. We are happy to have Mr. Tanner with us as we look forward to the coming year. |
